Tense film based on the 1982 disappearance of Kathie McCormack, the most notorious unsolved missing persons case in New York history, stars Ryan Gosling as Robert Durst, the son of a powerful real estate mogul (Frank Langella), who marries a woman (Kirsten Dunst) against his father's wishes. Amid familial pressure, Durst becomes unglued and is eventually suspected, but never tried, for his wife's inexplicable vanishing. Philip Baker Hall, Kristen Wiig co-star.
