The Tempest

The world of Shakespeare is filmmaker Julie Taymor's ("Titus") stage in this vivid version of the Bard's fantastical drama, the story of exiled female wizard Prospera (Helen Mirren) and her plot to avenge herself upon those who seized her kingdom. Conjuring a storm that brings her betrayers to the isle where she and her daughter (Felicity Jones) reside, Prospera enlists the aid of a beastly native (Djimon Hounsou) who has aims of his own. With David Strathairn, Alan Cumming, Chris Cooper, Alfred Molina, and Russell Brand.
