Miracle at St. Anna
An African-American WWII veteran's (Laz Alonso) breakdown opens a powerful window into the past, when, in 1944, his "Buffalo Soldiers" Army unit became stranded behind enemy lines in Italy. While their leader (Derek Luke) tries to arrange their extraction, the men struggle with their patriotic ideals and bond with a terrified young boy. Michael Ealy, John Turturro co-star in Spike Lee's moving military drama based on the James McBride novel.
