Tora! Tora! Tora!: The Real Story of Pearl Harbor

On the morning of December 7, 1941, a swarm of fighter planes - each bearing the fiery red sun of Imperial Japan - soared over Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. At 7:53am, a Japanese commander radioed to his pilots the code-words Tora, Tora, Tora. Within minutes, bombs and torpedoes reigned down from the sky on the unsuspecting US Navy fleet sitting at anchor, and a massive Japanese air fleet of over 300 planes had crippled US naval power in the Pacific with one of the most daring military manoeuvres in history. The United States' shock and anger over the Japanese attach served to rally a nation and led directly to the US military's decisive entry into the war. This fascinating feature-length documentary from the History Channel takes an in-depth look at the real story of Pearl Harbor, from the build-up to the attack, and the insurmountable damage and destruction caused on that infamous day.
