Luc Besson ("The Fifth Element") co-scripted this futuristic thriller about a wrongly-convicted ex-CIA operative (Guy Pearce) who is betrayed by his government and sentenced to 30 years frozen in a cryonic chamber 50 miles above Earth. During an official visit by the president's daughter, Emilie (Maggie Grace), a breakout occurs and Emilie is taken hostage. In desperation, the president enlists the services of Snow (Pearce), offering him a deal - if he can rescue Emilie from the clutches of the prison's most violent inmates, he can be assured of his own acquittal and future freedom. Shades of "Escape from New York" in this exciting actioner co-starring Lennie James, Vincent Regan and Peter Stormare.
