God Bless America

A blackly comic critique of modern America and its obsession with reality television, celebrity and consumerism, "God Bless America" was written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait ("World's Greatest Dad"). Frank (Joel Murray) has reached the end of his tether: his estranged daughter hates him, he has been fired from his job, his neighbours are rude, and, to top it all, he has just been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. As he channel-surfs through the mind-numbing dross on television, he finally loses his patience and sets out to rid his country of the filth that corrupts it. Embarking on a no-holds-barred killing spree, he finds an early fan and confidante in precocious teenager Roxy (Tara Lynne Barr) and the two re-invent themselves as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde as they set out to rid society of its most repellent elements.
