Skylab

July 1979. In Brittany, an extended family gathers to celebrate the grandmother's birthday. There's a hint of tension in the air, as the Skylab is rumoured to return to earth during the same weekend - in either Brittany or Perth. This multi-generational comedy is seen through the eyes of 10-year-old Albertine. Writer/director Julie Delpy (who also stars) shows a loving, guiding hand throughout the proceedings. With Eric Elmosnino, Aure Atika, and Valerie Bonneton, "Skylab" is a funny and irreverent look back at the '70s, childhood, and summer holidays.
