In this anime feature based on Osamu Tezuka's reinvention of Fritz Lang's sci-fi classic, Tima, an artificial lifeform designed to control the high-tech future city of Metropolis, is released before her programming is finished. On the run, Tima's only ally is Kenichi, a detective's nephew who must help her as her insidious "father" sets out to reclaim the android.
