The Exorcism of Emily Rose (Blu-ray)

Inspired by real events, this is as much courtroom drama as supernatural chiller. It tells in flashback the tragic story of 'Emily Rose' (Jennifer Carpenter) and the priest (Tom Wilkinson) charged with negligent homicide after a failed exorcism. The actual trial focused more on medicine vs religion, naturally this film takes the supernatural forgranted, making that argument rather moot. Laura Linney is notably wonderful as the hot-shot uppity lawyer who defends the apparently undeserved charges.
