Man With A Movie Camera

One of the most extraodinary films in the history of cinema. An exhilarating and often hilarious montage showing Moscow people at work and play and the machines that keep the city moving. Vertrov pioneers the use of all available cinematic techniques - disolves, split screen, slow motion and freeze frames. This unique documentary takes a 'camera eye' showing, through a succession of street and interior scenes, all the tricks of which the instrument is capable; it takes a bow at the end.
