Middle Age Spread

A unique "comedy of manners", based on Roger Hall's stage play which was a smash hit in NZ and the UK. Colin (Grant Tilly) is the deputy principal of a city high school. He has reluctantly applied for the principal's job, but the pressures of school life don't encourage him to seek this promotion. At home, his wife Elizabeth (Dorothy McKegg) has settled into the role of an increasingly disinterested partner. One evening, Colin and Elizabeth host a dinner party for four friends. Fellow teacher Judy (Donna Akersten) and her husband whom she has recently reconciled with after a long separation, and Colin and Elizabeth's neighbours. Throughout the evening the characters reveal their secrets and most importantly the slow growing love affair between Colin and Judy...
