The Quiet Man

After a long and profitable career as a boxer, Irish-born American Sean Thornton returns to his home village to settle down and forget an accident in which he killed an opponent in the ring. With the drunk Michaeleen Flynn as marriage broker, and with Red Will reluctant to allow the courtship to go ahead, Sean Thornton has to battle against all manner of Irish blarney to get the hand of the girl he loves. One of the most popular romances ever made, and featuring one of the classic fights in cinema history. Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne star.
