Tabu: A Story Of The South Seas

A landmark collaboration of F W Murnau ('Nosferatu') and Robert Flaherty ('Nanook of the North') has been hailed as one of the most stunning films ever made. Shot in Tahiti, the story tells of a beautiful native girl who is declared 'taboo' by her tribe and what happens when she defies them and falls in love with a pearl fisherman. This DVD release is the original director's cut (with uncensored scenes and titlecards) before the Paramount studio interfered.
