Wise Blood

An unlikely religious leader (Brad Dourif) recruits a ragtag band of followers for his Church of Christ Without Christ in order to expose the hypocrisies he sees demonstrated in his town's church. Will his crusade, though, turn him into a zealot every bit as intolerant as his enemies? John Huston translates Flannery O'Connor's first novel with an equally satirical tone. Ned Beatty, Harry Dean Stanton co-star.
