Drowning Mona

Life in a small upstate New York town is changed, apparently for the better, when local harridan Bette Midler drives her Yugo into the Hudson River. Police chief Danny DeVito discovers the car's brakes were tampered with, but everyone in the town, from Midler's son, landscaper Marcus Thomas, and waitress Jamie Lee Curtis to DeVito's own daughter, bride-to-be Neve Campbell, had a reason to want her dead, in this off-beat black comedy.
