Psychotherapist Jennifer Lopez, who uses experimental virtual reality technology to enter the minds of her patients, is recruited by the FBI to delve into the twisted sub-conscious of comatose serial killer Vincent D'Onofrio, whose latest abduction victim will die unless she can be found within 24 hours.
