This is the true story of Carl Brashear, the first black member of the U.S. Navy's deep sea diving team. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays Brashear, the Navy recruit with strong swimming abilities who faces off against Master Chief Sunday (Robert De Niro), a bigot determined to stop him from making the team.
