Vanilla Sky

Director Cameron Crowe's re-working of the 1997 Spanish film 'Open Your Eyes' (inspired by a Philip K Dick novel, 'Ubik') stars Tom Cruise as a charming, wealthy magazine publisher who thinks he's found the perfect woman in Penelope Cruz (who also starred in the original), a beautiful Spanish dancer. Cruise's happiness is shattered when he and obsessed former lover Cameron Diaz are in a car accident that disfigures him and kills her. While recovering, Cruise seeks help from psychiatrist Kurt Russell as he tries to discern what in his increasingly ominous life is real and what is fantasy. With Jason Lee and Noah Taylor.
