Caesar and Cleopatra

George Bernard Shaw's exuberantly witty play about Rome's titanic leader and Egypt's young queen was transferred to the big screen with stars Vivien Leigh and Claude Rains. Part Egyptian adventure and part political thriller, this spectacular Technicolor epic was, at the time, the most expensive film ever produced in Britain.
