King Solomon's Mines
A ripping adventure with singing sensation Paul Robeson as the imperturbable African guide, Umbopa and Cedric Hardwicke as explorer Alan Quartermain. Engaged by a young woman (Anna Lee) to help find her father, lost on an expedition to uncover the legendary diamond mines of King Solomon. Based on H Rider Haggard's 1884 novel, this is the first and certainly one of the best film adaptations of the story, with its strong cast, location shooting and great special effects.
