The Boys in the Band

One of the first American films to openly deal with homosexuality. 'The Boys in the Band', based on Mart Crowley's enormously successful Broadway play, centres around a gathering of friends at a birthday party. With an outstanding ensemble cast and wickedly clever dialogue, its reputation as the gay 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' is not unfounded. Leonard Frey, Cliff Gorman, Laurence Luckinbill, and Peter White star in this controversial serio-comedy.
