Second only to 'Gunsmoke' among long-running television westerns, 'Bonanza' was the archetype of the 'property' western that dominated the genre during the '60s. Set in Virginia City, Nevada, it told the story of the Cartwrights, owners of a nearly 600,000 acre ranch - The Ponderosa (named after the ponderosa pines growing there). Contains 3 episodes; 'Silent Thunder', 'Day of Reckoning' and 'Badge Without Honour'.
