Another vintage year highlighted by Philip Kaufman's "Unbearable Lightness of Being", Peter Jackson's debut film "Bad Taste", a grand embrace of things past in "Withnail and I", the wonderfully eclectic mix of music and imagery in "Aria", a grand Gallic feast was to be had in "Babette's Feast", the enchanting "Jean de Florette" followed by "Manon des Sources", and stretching the medium was Wim Wenders with "Wings of Desire" (pictured).
