Moving (and loosely autobiographical) drama from director Jim Sheridan ("In the Name of the Father") and his screenwriting daughters Naomi and Kirsten, centering on a family of Irish immigrants struggling to survive in a dilapidated New York City apartment building. While actor father Paddy Considine and waitress mother Samantha Morton try to make ends meet, sisters Sarah Bolger and Emma Bolger forge a friendship with Djimon Hounsou, an African man living in the building.
