Prisoner: The Terrorist Siege

For the women of Wentworth Detention Centre, life is tough on The Inside. Battling the system and often each other, the women must learn to adjust to life behind bars as best they can. "Prisoner" remains one of Australia's most successful drama series, and ran for 692 episodes from 1979-1987. Presented here are three episodes that formed one of the series dramatic highpoints, plus a special bonus episode featuring 'flashback' clips from the early years of the series. Episodes 550, 551, 552: A terrorist squad break into Wentworth to rescue the wife of a major crime boss. When their plan goes horribly wrong, the women are taken hostage and one will die every hour until the gunmen's demands are met. Episode 536: Set a few months prior to the terrorist siege, this episode features the inmates reminiscing about events from the early years of the programme and features clips of long-gone inmates like Bea Smith and Frankie Doyle.
