Prisoner: The End

For the women of Wentworth Detention Centre, life is tough on The Inside. Battling the system and often each other, the women must learn to adjust to life behind bars as best they can. "Prisoner" remains one of Australia's most successful drama series, and ran for 692 episodes from 1979-1987. Presented here are four episodes from the final years of the series, including the dramatic conclusion that brought "Prisoner" to an unforgettable climax. Episodes 600, 601: Vicious Top Dog Lou Kelly (Louise Siversen) takes over the prison by force and begins her reign of terror with an execution, bashings, hostage-taking and an explosive fight-to-the-death between Joan 'The Freak' Ferguson (Maggie Kirkpatrick) and Rita Connors (Glenda Linscott).
