The Reckoning

Enthralling mystery, set in the 14th century, about a priest (Paul Bettany) who joins a group of traveling actors after he's exiled for breaking his vow of chastity. When they end up in a town where a mute woman is accused of killing a young boy, the troupe decides to write a play based on the case. As they dig deeper into the facts, they begin to question the woman's guilt, giving Bettany a chance to prove her innocence and redeem himself. Willem Dafoe, Brian Cox, Gina McKee, Ewen Bremner, and Vincent Cassel co-star.
