National Treasure
Ben Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage), an archaeologist and adventurer, is looking for the legendary lost treasure of the Knights Templar, spurred on by the stories he was told as a young man by his grandfather, John Adams Gates (Christopher Plummer), twenty years before. John tells Ben the secret hiding place for the treasure is encoded on the back of the Declaration of Independence, placed there by none other than the founders of the United States of America, George Washington, and Benjamin Franklin. However, Ben has competition in the form of ruthless treasure hunter Ian Howe (Sean Bean) who is determined to claim the prize for himself... Conspiracies abound in this fast-paced adventure (bearing similarities to Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code") that touchs on the Illuminati, the Masons, and the Knights Templar to tell a 'ripping yarn' for all ages. With Jon Voight, Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha and Harvey Keitel.
