Duma
Carroll Ballard, ('The Black Stallion', 'Never Cry Wolf'), directs the true story of Xan (Alexander Michaletos), a boy living with his parents (Campbell Scott, Hope Davis) on a Kenyan ranch. Finding an orphaned cheetah cub, they adopt and raise it, but must later release it when the cat faces captivity. Based on the children's book, 'How It Was With Dooms: A True Story From Africa', by Carol and Xan Hopcraft.
