Documenting the exciting punk explosion that came out of England in the late 1970s. Director Don Letts calls on a number of British and American stars to offer their thoughts on punk, with Henry Rollins, Chrissie Hynde, Jello Biafra, and filmmakers Jim Jarmusch and Mary Harron ("I Shot Andy Warhol) among them. Some stunning footage of vital performers such as the Ramones, the Sex Pistols and Iggy Pop helps flesh out Letts's movie, while the director steers the film away from fond nostalgia, and instead demonstrates how the punk attitude continues to have an enormous influence throughout the world.
