Punk's Not Dead

Skimming over the largely familiar stories of punk's beginnings with the Sex Pistols and the Ramones in the 1970s, this entertaining documentary reflects on 30 years of punk. What it means to be punk, and how this ethos has survived into the modern era filtered through the music of bands like Nirvana, The Offspring and, the longest-surviving punk band to date - with all the original members from 30 years ago - The Adicts. Filmmaker Susan Dynner started out as a photographer, capturing the early beginnings of the movement, and clearly has a passion for her subject.
