Memories of Tomorrow

The slick look of this debut outing from film student Amit Tripuraneni belies its wing and a prayer NZ$15,000 budget. Cast and crew donated their time over 5 months making this tight psychological thriller on Auckland's rugged west coast. John (Richard Thompson) and his wife (Rachel Gilchrist) lead an idyllic life despite John's inability to remember his past - unfortunately his past is about to remember him. Selected for festivals in Germany, the US as well as here, this is an impressive first film.
