Somewhere in the Night

Stricken with amnesia during action in the South Pacific, WWII Marine John Hodiak returns home with only a letter from a now-dead ex-girlfriend as a clue to his past. Back in Los Angeles, Hodiak finds the key to regaining his identity is linked to a deadly double-cross and a missing fortune. This grand noir-flavoured suspenser is directed and co-written by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and co-stars Nancy Guild, Richard Conte, Lloyd Nolan.
