Filmmaker Peter Spirer interviewed over 80 significant artists in rap and hip-hop for this excellent documentary exploring the history, the multi-billion dollar industry and the controversy stemming from rap lyrics and images. Included are old-school rappers like KRS-ONE and Chuck D, gangsta rap icons Ice-T and Dr Dre, contemporary hitmakers, Wu-Tang Clan and Sean 'Puffy' Combs, and one of the last interviews with The Notorious B.I.G.
