The Asphyx

During his experiments in the burgeoning world of photography Hugo, (Robert Stephens) stumbles on the Asphyx of Greek legend, carrier of souls to the netherworld. Using special lighting techniques, he detects and captures the demon as it takes the soul of a guinea pig - the animal, it seems, is rendered immortal. Naturally, human subjects are next...A twisty plot and great period ambience make this a classic horror/fantasy flick.
