A Love Song For Bobby Long
Bobby Long (John Travolta) a washed up former literature professor with a voracious drinking habit lives in a rundown house in New Orleans with his former star pupil, Lawson Pines (Gabriel Macht), also an alcoholic. When their eccentric houseowner dies, her long-absent teenage daughter, Pursy (Scarlett Johansson) arrives and slowly, long-buried secrets begin to surface in this southern mood piece. Based on the novel 'Off Magazine Street', by Ronald Everett Capps.
