In My Country

In newly post-apartheid South Africa the Truth and Reconciliation Commission was set up, bringing perpetrators and victims of racial violence together to heal wounds and mete out justice. Langston Whitfiled (Samuel L Jackson), sent to cover the hearings for the Washington Post, doubts their efficacy. He sets out to interview notorious racist Colonel De Jager (Brendan Gleeson) and as he slowly falls for Afrikaner Juliette Binoche, together they find out some harrowing truths. Based on the novel by Antjie Krog.
