The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill

This terrific documentary follows the relationship between Mark Bittner, a homeless ex-busker and the once-domestic, but now wild, green and red parrots of San Francisco's Telegraph Hill. When the self-described 'Dharma-bum' first discovered the birds he had no ornithological expertise, but over the years he has taken it on himself to feed and care for them, earning the respect of the community along the way. A poignant, beautifully told story offering extraordinary insight into both avian and human behaviour.
