The Man Who Bought Mustique

In 1956, a jet-setting Scottish Lord bought the island of Mustique and turned it into party central for the rich and frivolous. Big names that turned up for cocktails included Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Tommy Hilfiger and even the odd royal. But in the late 1970s, the so-called 'Jet-set monarch' ran out of readies, lost control of his island paradise and was banished to nearby St Lucia. This fabulously tragic documentary looks at the indomitable Lord Glenconner, sly charmer and pathetic toff, as he revisits his old haunt for the first time in ten years.
