Heights

A smart ensemble drama revolving around 24 hours in the lives of five ambitious New Yorkers. Glenn Close is the link as a Broadway diva who's just found out her husband is cheating, while her photographer daughter is having similar relationship difficulties on the eve of her wedding. Close is wonderful and cameos include George Segal and Isabella Rossellini. Clever and very New York, this was one of the last films produced by the late Ismail Merchant.
