American Gun

Three interwoven stories trace the everyday ramifications of living in an armed society. Donald Sutherland plays the owner of a Virginia gunstore whose granddaughter comes to work for him. Marcia Gay Harden is the mother of a boy who went on a Columbine-style shoot-out in Oregon three years earlier, and Forrest Whitaker is an inner city Chicago school principal trying to keep a lid on campus violence. An earnest attempt to reveal the personal impact of America's love affair with firearms.
