The Crow
A superhuman mystical hero returns from the grave to exact revenge on the killers of his fiancee and himself on the eve of their wedding. The tragic death of Brandon Lee in a freak accident during the making of this dark Gothic avenger fantasy, guaranteed it a macabre fascination and cult potential. Judged on its cinematic merit, Alex Proyas' nightmare adaptation of James O'Barr's comic is dark, rainy and violent with great urban-hell production design giving this a strong style. Soundtrack includes The Cure, Violent Femmes, Jesus and Mary Chain, Rollins Band and Stone Temple Pilots. Followed by "The Crow: City of Angels".
