Batman Begins
The Dark Knight's origins are finally explored on the big screen. Fuelled by vengeance following his parents' murder, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels widely, honing his combat skills before returning to clean up crime-ridden Gotham. With faithful Alfred (Michael Caine), and scientist Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), Wayne develops his crime-fighting alter-ego. Visually stunning and with a rivetting turn from Bale, Christopher Nolan ('Memento') delivers the most convincing Batman yet.
