The Thing About My Folks

Paul Reiser wrote the screenplay and stars in this 20 year pet project about a middle-aged man, Ben, who must come to terms with his parents' divorce. Reiser had always had Peter Falk in mind for the role of his father who one day finds a note from his wife (Olympia Dukakis) saying she needs a time out. Ben takes this as an opportunity to get to know his dad, but no one said it would be easy! A poignant, if not sentimental, comedy-drama about family with a charming turn from Falk.
