The Lebanese civil war is in full swing, but young Zozo (Imad Creidi) and his family try to carry on as normally as possible. Zozo's grandparents have already emigrated to Sweden, where the rest of the family plans to move as soon as their passports and tickets arrive. However tragedy will mean Zozo must try to get out on his own, with only his pet chicken and a runaway girl for company. Sweden's Oscar entry has two distinct parts that don't necessarily gel, but thanks to its charismatic young lead, it remains an affecting and involving drama.
