La Petite Jerusalem

An orthodox Jewish teen living with her family in a tight-knit Jewish suburb in Paris attempts to balance her religious upbringing with her increasingly complex view of the outside world. Religion, philosophy, romantic love and sensual desire all vie for the heart and mind of the smart and serious young Laura (Fanny Valette), in this rich, graceful and skillfully balanced debut feature from writer/director, Karin Albou.
