The White Masai

A truly incredible love story based on Corinne Hofmann's autobiography about her journey to Kenya and her culture-shock romance with a Masai warrior. Carola (Nina Hoss) is a Swiss tourist travelling with her boyfriend in Africa when she spots Lemalian, a Masai tribesman, and falls instantly in love with him. On a whim she cancels her flight home and follows Lemalian to his small village where they become man and wife. From then on her life is irrevocably changed in every way possible, and she must contend with challenging customs such as witchcraft, a horror of public affection and female circumcision. Enthralling and astoundingly beautiful.
