Children of Men
In the year 2027, the human race has lost its ability to procreate and society is rapidly descending into chaos. Alfonso Cuaron's adaptation of PD James' gripping novel is a dazzling noveau-noir actioner with Clive Owen as a cynical former activist forced back into the fray when a young woman is found to be inexplicably pregnant and desperately needs safe passage out of a besieged London. Julianne Moore co-stars as Owen's right-fighting ex, and Michael Caine is his bedraggled old mentor. A stunning and viscerally-charged glimpse of a terrifying future.
