The Myth

Jackie Chan plays two roles in this time-bending comic fantasy. He is both Qin Dynasty General Meng Yi, and his contemporary reincarnation, archaeologist Jack Lee. A patchwork plot takes us from Korea to India, past and present, though whether it all comes together in a satisfying way is in the eye of the beholder. Jackie Chan fans will find this to be unlike any of his other films, though the signature fight scenes and genre-mixing are still here. Tony Leung Ka Fai co-stars as Chan's modern-day sidekick and Korean starlet Hee-seon Kim is his true love through the ages.
