Smokin' Aces

A bullet-strewn ensemble comedy/thriller with Jeremy Piven as small-time scammer Buddy 'Aces' Israel, about to turn State's evidence against the mob. FBI agents Ryan Reynolds and Ray Liotta are charged with getting him to the court on time, but there are a few nasty types who would like to see Aces at the bottom of a lake wearing concrete shoes. Among those with Buddy's number are Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Andy Garcia, kiwi Martin Henderson and, in her first movie role, singer Alicia Keys. Convoluted, kinetic blood-letting from the director of 'Narc'.
